Freedom of Association Law in Africa

This is a collection of freedom of association and assembly legislation and caselaw from several African countries. We are grateful to the International Center for Non-Profit Law for providing the seed funding for this collection in September 2020.

The Freedom of Association collection is curated and updated annually by postgraduate student researchers at the Faculty of Law, University of Cape Town. The next update is due in February 2022.

Most legislation referenced in this collection is digitised and updated by Laws.Africa
